Nick Mason

Nicholas “Nick” Mason was born in Birmingham, England, on January 27, 1944, and is the drummer and a founding member of the iconic progressive rock band Pink Floyd. He is the only member to have remained with the band since its formation in 1965 and has played on every Pink Floyd album.

Known for his steady and often understated drumming style, Mason’s work is integral to Pink Floyd’s atmospheric and experimental sound. He has also co-written some of the band’s compositions, including “Echoes” and “Time.” Beyond Pink Floyd, Mason has participated in other musical projects and is a noted classic car enthusiast and racer. In 2018, he formed a new band “Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets” to perform Pink Floyd’s early work.

The Vertere equipment was a gift to Nick to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pink Floyd album “Dark Side of the Moon”. Vertere provided a customized MG-1 turntable, Phono-1 Preamplifier, and Pulse-R cables.
